The Worst is Behind You: Forging Ahead in Faith
🌅 The
Worst is Behind You: Forging Ahead in Faith
📖 "Be strong and of good courage,
do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who
goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." — Deuteronomy 31:6, NKJV
💭 Reflective Devotional Thought
There are seasons where
"difficult" feels like an understatement. Perhaps the last few days
or weeks have felt like a marathon through a storm—a time of genuine agony, exhaustion, or deep uncertainty. When you are in the
thick of the pain, it’s hard to imagine the clouds ever parting.
But here is the breakthrough word for
your soul today: You have already endured the worst of it.
The intensity of the struggle is
starting to subside. Like a fever that finally breaks in the middle of the
night, the peak of your trial has passed. The Lord isn't just watching you from
a distance; He is the One who has been carrying you through the fire. Now, He
is calling you to "forge ahead."
To forge something requires heat and
pressure, but it results in something stronger and more durable than before.
Your endurance hasn't been in vain. You are coming out of this with a testimony
of God’s staying power. Do not let the "aftershocks" of the trial
make you afraid to move forward. The God who was with you in the agony is the
same God who is for you in the recovery. Keep the faith—the road ahead is
clearer than the one behind.
🙏 A Heartfelt Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my anchor when the waves
were at their highest. Thank You for the promise that the worst of this season
is over. I surrender the pain and the "agony" of the past few days
into Your hands. I ask for the strength to forge ahead and the courage to
believe that better days are right in front of me. Thank You for never leaving
me and for being the One who goes before me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
✅ Call to Action
Leave it at the Altar. Take a moment today to physically write down the thing that has
caused you the most "agony" lately. Then, draw a line through it or
cross it out as a symbolic act that the peak of that struggle is over. As you
go about your day, every time that pain tries to resurface, remind yourself: "The worst is behind me;
God is for me."
