Home in the "New Normal"
📖 "Peace I
leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to
you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

John 14:27, NKJV
💭 Reflective
Devotional Thought
Life
has a way of shifting beneath our feet. For many of us, the landscape of our
lives has changed so drastically that we feel like we are waking up in a
"foreign land." Whether it’s a new career, a change in family
dynamics, or a season of loss, the "new normal" can feel cold,
unfamiliar, and deeply unsettling.
When
you are in a foreign place, you often feel vulnerable and exposed. But the Lord
has a beautiful reassurance for your weary heart today: You are not a displaced
person in His Kingdom. While your external circumstances may be unrecognizable,
His presence remains your permanent residence.
He
is calling you to put aside all trepidation—that nagging sense of fear or dread
about the future. You aren't standing on shifting sand or thin ice; because you
belong to Him, you are on solid spiritual ground. The God of the universe isn't
just watching you navigate this transition; He is for you and He is with
you. Whenever the "new normal" feels like too much, retreat into His
presence. In Him, you are always home, and you are always safe.
🙏 A Heartfelt Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I thank You that Your presence is my true home. When my life feels like
a foreign land and the "new normal" makes me anxious, remind me that
I am safe with You. I lay down my trepidation and my fear of the unknown. Thank
You for being the solid ground beneath my feet. I rest in the truth that You
are for me and You will never leave me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
✅ Call to Action
Create
a "Presence Sanctuary." Sometime today, find 10 minutes to sit in
absolute silence. Close your eyes and visualize yourself stepping out of the
"foreign land" of your worries and into the "home" of God’s
love. Intentionally tell your soul, "I am home, I am safe, and I am on
solid ground." Repeat this whenever you feel the "new
normal" trying to steal your peace.
