🏁 The Power of the Finish: Completing What You Started
🏁 The Power of the Finish: Completing What You Started
📖 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong
and of a good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God
is with you wherever you go."
— Joshua 1:9, NKJV
💭 Reflective Devotional Thought
Starting a new
project, a reorganization, or a life change is often fueled by a burst of
initial excitement. But as the "newness" wears off and the
middle-stage grind begins, it is easy to lose momentum. You have likely made great
strides recently—you’ve cleared some clutter, set some goals, and found a bit
more order—but the finish line isn't quite here yet.
The Lord is
speaking a word of perseverance to you today: "Finish what you
started." It is a common temptation to stop when things get "good
enough" or when the remaining tasks feel tedious. However, there is a
specific blessing and a unique peace that only comes with completion.
If you feel your
motivation waning, remember that you aren't operating on your own battery. God
isn't just watching your progress from afar; He is with you every step of the
way. When you hit a wall of exhaustion or find yourself "stuck" on
how to handle a specific detail, He is your Source. He promises to provide not
just the direction to know the next move, but the actual energy required to
make it. Don't let the remaining 10% of the work keep you from the 100% victory
He has for you.
🙏 A Heartfelt Prayer
Lord, I thank You
for how far You have already brought me. I praise You for the progress I've
made and the order emerging in my life. Forgive me for the times I’ve wanted to
walk away before the work was done. When I feel stuck or drained, I ask for
Your divine direction and a fresh surge of energy. Help me to be strong and
courageous in the finishing, just as I was in the starting. I trust that You
are with me in every detail. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
✅ Call to Action
The "Final
Five" Focus. Identify one project or organizational task that is currently
80% or 90% complete. Today, commit to spending just 30 minutes focusing on
those final lingering details. Before you start, declare: "Lord, I
thank You for the energy and direction to finish this well." Watch how
His strength meets your commitment to see it through to the end.
