πΏ Pressing Forward in the Spirit
πΏ Pressing Forward in the Spirit
π
Philippians 3:13–14, NKJV — “Brethren,
I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I
press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Isaiah 43:18–19, NKJV — “Do not
remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a
new thing…”
π§ Devotional Thought
There
comes a time when revisiting old places of failure and pain only keeps you
tethered to what God has already released you from. The past, though real, is
often filtered through emotion and perception—distorted by disappointment,
regret, or self-judgment.
The
Lord reminds you that you cannot change one thing about the past, but you can
move forward in the power of His Spirit. This is a new day—a day to walk with
Him in freedom, purpose, and renewed strength.
When
you stop looking back, you begin to see the horizon ahead. The Spirit of God is
calling you to rise, to press forward, and to embrace the fresh grace He has
prepared for you. The pain of yesterday will fade into dim memory as His
presence fills your today.
Let
go of what was. Step into what is. Trust the One who leads you toward what will
be.
π Heartfelt Prayer
Lord,
thank You for releasing me from the weight of the past. Help me to quiet my
soul and focus on Your Spirit leading me forward. Teach me to see through Your
eyes, not through the lens of regret or fear. Strengthen me to press toward the
goal You have set before me. I choose to walk with You in this new day,
trusting Your power and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
π₯ Call to Action
Write
down one area of your past that still tries to hold your attention. Pray over
it, release it to God, and declare aloud: “I press forward in the power of
His Spirit.”
