⚓ The Middle of the Shift: Staying Grounded in the In-Between
⚓ The Middle of the Shift: Staying Grounded in the In-Between
📖 "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be
content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, 'I will never
leave you nor forsake you.'"
— Hebrews 13:5, NKJV
💭 Reflective Devotional Thought
There
is a specific kind of tension that exists in the "in-between." It’s
that season where things are no longer what they used to be, but they haven’t
quite become what they are going to be yet. It is a period of adjustment, and
if we aren't careful, the uncertainty of the transition can steal our peace.
The
Lord is calling you to a radical kind of presence today. He is asking you to
stop looking back at the "old normal" with longing and to stop
peering into the future with anxiety. Instead, stay focused on the here and
now.
"Go
with the flow" isn't a call to be passive; it’s a call to trust. It means
moving with the rhythm of God's grace regardless of how the current feels. When
the water gets choppy or the path feels unfamiliar, lean into the promise that
has anchored believers for millennia: He will not leave you. You aren't just a
face in the crowd to Him; you are precious, chosen, and intentionally
accompanied. Every step you take in this adjustment period is a step He is
taking right beside you.
🙏 A Heartfelt Prayer
Lord,
I acknowledge that I am in a season of change and it often feels unsettling.
Help me to let go of what was and to stop worrying about what will be. I choose
to focus on Your presence in this very moment. Thank You for the promise that
You will never leave me nor forsake me. Remind my heart today that I am
precious to You, and give me the grace to go with the flow of Your Spirit.
Amen.
⚡ Call to Action
The
"Here and Now" Anchor. Three times today, stop whatever you are doing
and take 30 seconds to observe your surroundings. Name three things you can
see, two things you can hear, and one thing you can feel. Then, whisper: "God
is here, and I am with Him." This simple practice will help retrain
your mind to stay focused on the present moment where God’s grace is most
active.
